The
Instructional Technology Unit of Arizona Department of Education
is pleased to partner with AzTEA for a second year to support
their three technology conferences. ADE felt the partnership
last year provided a new awareness of how a tri-conference
series can provide quality, sustained professional development.
ADE looks forward to this year’s series, Connecting
Curriculum and Technology for the 21st Century Learner. The
theme nicely aligns with the ADE’s emphasis of “cross
curricular connections” within our academic standards.
In addition, the ADE will highlight IDEAL
(Integrated Data to Enhance Arizona’s Learning) throughout
the conferences.
Through the ADE/AzTEA partnership, the conferences will be
supported by our eleven new Technology Integration Specialists
(TISs), working though a 9-county cluster as a part of the
ADE’s Statewide Instructional Technology (SIT) project.
The County’s
TIS and the SIT project coordinator, Lillian
Hritz. It will be exciting for AzTEA to collaborate with
the TISs to share ways to help connect curriculum with technology
throughout the state.
