This session is an overview of our experience at Gallego Basic Elementary as part of of the Digital Explorers Project in Sunnyside School District. Gallego is one of several district elementary schools where the fifth grade students were issued personal laptops for school and home use this year. We will outline how our students have been caring for and customizing their laptops, using MS Office and online resources, and developing social networking skills.
