To the AzTEA community:
I am thrilled to announce that Brett Hinton is the new Director of Educational Technology at the Arizona Department of Education. Brett follows Nan Williams who recently returned to the Alhambra SD as their Director of Technology! Brett has been in the Educational Technology Unit since December 2007 as an Education Program Specialist. So he will be hitting the ground running with this new role.
Brett will be tackling the task of setting up the ARRA EETT (Title IID, Enhancing Education Through Technology) grant program and accountability requirements for both formula and competitive grants. And he also will be assuming the oversight of the regular EETT grants and leadership of the SIT project. I look forward to working with Brett in this new role.
