Purposeful Digital Storytelling

Start with one misguided use of technology in a science classroom. Add one part discussion, one part revision with three parts technology and engagement to remake, remix, and refresh this classroom project. Get hands on experience using a “digital kit” filled with video, images, and audio to create a movie using Movie Maker and/or Photo Story and your own creativity and professional knowledge during this “model” classroom activity. Leave with the ability to break apart a lackluster, misguided use of technology, knowledge and information about creating a “digital kit” for facilitating technology projects, and a newfound expertise in Movie Maker or Photo Story.
