Reflections on the year

Printer-friendly version

Well folks, it has been an outstanding year for AzTEA.  As you probably know from listserv postings from me, our own Helen Padgett has been elected as President-Elect for ISTE.  This is a great honor for her (and well deserved) and for our organization.  Also, Cathy Poplin was elected to the Board of the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA).

But perhaps our biggest achievment for the year was hiring Mr. Coy Ison as AzTEA's new Executive Director.  This is currently a part-time position but we are working on bringing Coy on full time.  He has already made major contributions to the orgnanization (including our continuing work to move our web presence into DRUPAL) and we look forward to many more advancements as the years go by.

As our new tag line states, we look orward to leading the way to improve learning for all students within the state and look forward to serving you in 2009.

Have ideas for us? Then let us know by writing me at president@aztea.org or Coy at coy@aztea.org.
