AzTEA’s MISSION AND PARTNER BENEFITS

The Arizona Technology in Education Alliance (AzTEA), an International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) affiliate, is a professional non-profit organization devoted to increasing student achievement through technology in teaching and learning.  Our mission is to empower the educational community in Arizona to infuse technology as an integral part of the educational process.  We do this by providing advocacy and leadership, promoting educational reform, and supporting technology based innovation through our services, activities, programs, and collaborative efforts.

AzTEA’s Corporate Partnership program is an excellent opportunity to reach our membership, a large group of technology savvy teachers and administrators.  Your participation provides a critical link between the educational and business communities in our commitment to provide quality educational programs for students in Arizona.

Partnership at or above the $1,000 level will be listed on AzTEA’s web site with a short company description and a link to your web site.  AzTEA is a non-profit corporation, so these links do not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of your product or service.

The Corporate Partnership program will help your organization budget appropriately for AzTEA’s annual activities.  A calendar of upcoming events will be sent to you when your membership application has been completed.

AzTEA:  PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION

AzTEA INFORMATION

Regional Chapters

Given the size of our state and the need to have membership that is representative of urban as well as rural interests, AzTEA has formed regional chapters.  Chapters are active in the Phoenix metropolitan area (Westside and Eastside), Northern Arizona and Southern Arizona.  The Northern, Southern and Westside Chapters hold regional conferences (open to all).  The Eastside Chapter is AzTEA’s liaison to the Microcomputers in Education Conference (MEC) and the Arizona Department of Education Mega Conference.

Corporate Advisory Council

This is a newly created group designed to advise the AzTEA’s Board on corporate partnership issues.  The Advisory Council is called upon by the elected non-voting Corporate Partner AzTEA Board Member as needed.

Corporate Partner listserv (under development as of 10/04)

AzTEA has formed a listserv for our Corporate Partners to provide members with similar interests and responsibilities to establish a statewide support and resource network.  Corporate memberships through the partnership programs described in this brochure include participation in the listserv.  Contact Tom Lind or Chris Niemeyer to have your name included on the listserv.
